  13. Now this is not a scientific poll or anything but I am an avid computer user 
  14. and I come across a lot of folks with different types of computers.  What the 
  15. average non-techie type wants is a computer that can do all the wonderful 
  16. entertainment things as well as for education and occupational things.  So 
  17. software availability makes computer platforms very important.  At work a lot 
  18. of people come to me and ask what type of computer should they buy.  My first 
  19. question is how much are you willing to spend and what is the main reason for 
  20. your purchase.   Remember a computer purchase is a major purchase in the in 
  21. the 90's.  Well I think that marketing is a very important key to success.  
  22. The Amiga is a good platform and if software makers can comeback and develope 
  23. for it maybe the death is being a bit premature.   I personally, am very 
  24. disappointed in Escom.  Amiga owners have been patient,very patient.  I 
  25. really hope that Escom can win their confidence.  I presently don't own an 
  26. Amiga anymore I switched to a Pentium 75 with 16megs and 1.975 G hard drive 
  27. and this system only cost $2400.00 a year ago (that's including monitor).  
  28. Please Escom let's try some marketing.   Ask the guy in Oregon does marketing 
  29. work.   We all take shots at Bill Gates but wouldn't  we like for someone 
  30. like him to be in charge of the Amiga!!! Bill is all American.  Agressive and 
  31. makes plenty of money for the investors!!! Hey that last point is vital!! We 
  32. live in a free market society.  A company must make money.  All you A500 
  33. single disk drive users must upgade to newer Amigas.  Amiga owners must 
  34. adbandon thier older machines and older software/ hardware .  Show the money 
  35. boys that the Amiga users are willing to put $$$$$$ where their loyalty is.  
  36. If this happens I will buy an equivalent of the A4000.  I can use two 
  37. computers.
